Hire Africa is casting six principal characters for a brand-new workplace comedy. No sign-ups, no forms: pick a role, record a 60-second self-tape and email it to us. The pilot is six episodes — if it lands, we're building a long-running show with room to travel.

The Accountant

Read this before you send anything

In your email, state these four things very clearly:

Use a Google Drive link or an unlisted YouTube link.
Using Google Drive? Change the sharing setting to “Anyone with the link can view” before you send. If we cannot open your tape, you will not get the role.

Self-tape rules
- Begin with a brief slate: your name, location and the character you are auditioning for.
- Perform the monologue directly to camera.
- Keep the monologue to 60 seconds or less. The slate does not count.
- No costume, office location or props needed. Clear picture and good sound is enough.
- Record one continuous take, with no filters, music or elaborate editing.
- Small natural wording changes are fine, but keep the character, intention and comic beats.
- Don't imitate another performer. We want your own interpretation.
